THE MANAGEMENT of CORNWALL GARDENS TRUST
The Council of Management meets twice a year and additional meetings are as necessary. All Council members serve as Trustees and are elected by the membership of Cornwall Gardens Trust (CGT) at the AGM. The Council decides CGT policy, the budget and the appointment of officers and sub-committee chairmen. All sub-committees report to and are accountable to the Council. A number of specialists is available to advise the Council on technical matters.
The Finance & General Purposes Committee meets as required. It comprises the CGT Chairman and all officers of the Trust, and is supplemented by the other committee chairmen as required. The committee’s role is to ensure that the overall policy that has been agreed by the Council is implemented, and it administers the Small Grants Scheme. The Trust’s fundraiser and education officer report to the F&GP.
The Membership Committee usually meets three times a year. It supports the Membership Secretary in recruiting new members and maintaining memberships. This committee also arranges the publication of the annual CGT Journal and regular newsletters, as well as organising publicity events and a programme of visits and lectures.
The Recorders’ Committee produces the CGT Garden Records and usually meets twice a year. All CGT recorders are members of the committee.
